Take the time to look at this bull's pedigree - being
line bred Extra. He goes back to 5P three times (Sire of 80S and
the Electric cattle) and 23K four times (Sire of
5P and the Extra cattle). On top of that his mother is a
great granddaughter of probably one of the best Canadian sires of the
1980's - "Andy" 81N. His sire
9806 is by the
$15,000 Al Fenton 27A Calgary bull we bought (27A also sired 102E
Herd bull for Ulrich's). 9806's mother was an 8020 cow that is in
my Hall of Fame. 9806 is on the
2005 AHA proven sire list where he is a trait leader for Maternal
Calving Ease, Scrotal, and Rib Eye and a full brother to 0554 is on the
2005 AHA young sire list. I've sold three full brothers to this calf
all being the top selling bulls in our production sale, two of them
going into the purebred herds of Salsberry Herefords at Malta and
Beery's Land & Livestock at Vida. I own half interest in the third
full brother that went into an outstanding straight Hereford Commercial
herd that was a past Commercial Hereford Breeder of the year. This
calf represents the type of cattle we need more of - thick,
deep, and full of natural muscle. Dam was purchased out of the Doenz fall production sale as a bred heifer - she currently has an
average NR of 101 and YR of 103 on 7 calves. |
